apartment description
Breezy flat with high ceilings, modern ambiance and Pool on the beautiful South-Coast of Barbados.
Both bedrooms are equipped with a double bed, air-condition (additional charge applies) and an en-suite bathroom.
One of the bed-rooms can be used as two single beds. The bed for the 5th person is in the living room and is decorated as a sofa.
The Apartment has also a separate, small “powder room” with a toilet and a washbasin.
The fully equipped Kitchen with Granit counter top contains a fridge/freezer, stove/oven, Microwave, Toaster, Coffee Maker, Kettle, utensils and cooking-ware.
A lovely big balcony gives you a wonderful view over the pool area and the ocean.
Kids are welcome. A baby-bed/cot can be provided.
At “Mamu´s Café” you can have breakfast every morning. It is only 300m away from us on the beach.
The highlight is our pool area with Jacuzzi, child-pool, shower, toilet and covered seating area to relax in a nice breeze.
Enjoy a sun downer and take a swim at night in the pool with lights. Pool- and beach towel are provided.
Housekeeping, bed linens and towels are done once a week, if desired twice per week.
For a small deposit there will be free use of bicycles for our guests.
For each AC-Unit we have a separate electrical meter. You only pay for what you use.
Washing-Machine is available in the house (cost contribution is required).
We live in the same house next door and are always available for you.
It is a residential area with quiet and very friendly neighbours.
Transportation from and to the Airport will be provided. Optional.
For this service we charge 25 USD one way up to 5 people.
Our slogan is “From Kiter for Kiter”. Accordingly we have realized all that what we would have found with pleasure as a water sportsman.
Locked storage for the equipment for free, dip tank and space to dry the kitegear and harnesses, shower and toilet. The kites can be cleaned after your holiday.
Barbados is not a flat water spot. There are two flat water spots but they only work later in the year, May and later, and only when there is wind from South.
In the winter season we kite directly at “Long-Beach” where Windcastle is located. It is the longest sandy beach of the island.
The shorebreak is challenging but when you are out you have one of the best waveride conditions of the world and no people.
The main spot is “Silver-Rock-Beach” 1,2km away from Windcastle. The shorebreak is softer. The reef is 250m out and you can slowly feel way to the wave.
But you have to share the small bay with a lot of kitsurfers, windsurfers and beginners. In March and April it will become more quiet and in May and June
sometimes your are nearly alone on the water. The water temperature is 27-28 °C and most of the people are kiting with boardshorts, lycra or bikini.
We organise coached downwinder for our guests. We start at long beach pass the place where East meets South, rip the wave at “Surferspoint” and
end up at “Silver-Rock-Beach”. The lift back we do with our PicUp.
For waverider we have “Surfers-Point“ around the corner. Beginners can go to “Freights” 4km away and the professionals are surfing at the famous
“Bathsheba” with “Soup-Bowl” on the rough East Coast.
A 10 minutes walk brings you to the local bus routes and to “Mikes Minimart”. "Oistins" is 5km away. There you find a big supermarket, a bank, gas-station,
coffe shop and the famous "Fishmarket". We can recommend you nice restaurants. Most of them are located on the main bus route. We can also help you
to rent a car and what to do on the island.
Your arrive late on the afternoon? No problem, we can organise some food and drinks for a snack at night and a breakfast in the morning. Just let us know and we can send you a list. For this service we charge 30 USD plus the shopping-items. If we collect you from the airport and you come early enough we can stop for you at the supermarket and you can buy some groceries.
Check-in is after 3pm and check-out is 11am this times are flexible depending on when the next guest is leaving. Please ask if you need to change these times. Your luggage can be stored and you can take a last shower at the Pool-Area before you go to the airport.
